Development at LMAX follows an agile/lean model, based on pair programming, continuous delivery and automated testing. Developers work closely with the Business Analysts to refine and deliver business requirements in a series of rapid iterations. While we employ a number of technology specialists, each Developer is expected to become proficient in the full range of technologies used, and will build, test and deliver fully functional system components that may span the full technology stack.

LMAX is looking for people who can bring a wide range of skills to a rapidly growing environment, and who would like to be part of an expert team creating something unique. We are growing our small team of exploratory and technical testers.

Our Test Analysts combine their knowledge and experience of testing within the business domain, a critical understanding of the test requirements and goals, and a solid grasp of the software engineering process in order to contribute to a quality driven delivery from the software development team. Responsibilities are varied so flexibility would be key to your success. You will be working with Business Analysts, Developers, and Business Representatives to gather test requirements and product knowledge and building automated regression tests with Selenium and Java.

You will need to communicate test requirements in terms of user stories, acceptance criteria, test conditions, charters and, if necessary, test plans and specifications. In addition you will be manually testing user stories throughout the development iteration, using applicable test techniques and exploratory testing methods while producing adequate test logs to document the test results. Finally you will also be involved in identifying new technology, techniques and tools to incorporate into the test process.

To be successful you will have experience of exploratory testing internet platforms, with strong test automation and manual testing skills. You must have worked within a dynamic and changing environment, preferably with 1-2 years agile testing experience. We are happy to develop someone who brings a number of the following experiences and technical skills and has a passion for developing their technical testing skills. However you must have excellent communication skills and a level of curiosity and a passion for testing which allows you to explore problems from new angles rather than just taking the usual approaches.

So if you have:

• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability of working in a team in both an agile and exploratory environment
• An enthusiastic approach to testing, and a passion to continually improve testing processes
• Proven automated and manual testing experience
• Knowledge of techniques for test case development and specification
• Testing 3rd party integration
• Applied exploratory testing in web-based or API-based domains
• Challenged the norms of testing methods and pushed back when it was really needed
• Constructed automated regression tests using Java and Selenium

• Solid understanding of web technologies and associated testing approaches, e.g. Ajax, Json
• Test automation, preferably with Selenium-RC and programmed using Java, .net or Ruby
• DSLs and/or test abstraction layers (page object models etc.)
• Basic SQL
• Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Relevant testing experience of financial instruments, CFDs, derivatives, or exchange trading

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our highly skilled team. This position requires a strong network design engineer comfortable working in a multi-vendor environment. You will be involved in all aspects of the LMAX network from design and installation through to troubleshooting and fine-tuning.

To be successful you will be passionate about network technologies and have excellent technical and problem solving skills and will have worked in an agile environment. You will also be able to learn quickly and work with a wide range of technologies including some which may be unfamiliar.

Key Requirements:

• Excellent understanding of TCP/IP and Linux networking.
• Routing and Switching (OSPF, BGP, MPLS VPNs, IP Multicast)
• Firewalls and VPNs
• Server Load Balancing (F5)
• QoS
• Exposure to Cisco, Juniper / Netscreen, F5, Brocade, Arista.
• Excellent troubleshooting and configuration skills.
• Professional approach and ability to work with developers and financial partners
• Eligibility to work in the UK

Professional qualifications from companies such as Cisco (CCNP/CCIE), Juniper or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
