Golden week rumbles on Asia struggles and the ranges are made elsewhere, Euro was dominated by good employment numbers in Germany however, manufacturing in the Eurozone was below expectations and overall employment was unchanged leaving the Euro without support on a move straight through 1.3200 bottoming out just above 1.3120, where support kicked in. Later trading and indifferent numbers in the US allowed Euro’s to move up slightly in the NYK session but not that far, 1.3165 level was the furthest it could rise before settling back into the close. GBP Initially dropped on the back of M4 money supply numbers but rebounded around the 1.6185, and moving back up above 1.6200 as people re-read the decent mortgage and PMI construction numbers, from there it was then grabbed by the Euro and followed it lower down to 1.6164 before finding support and weakness in the USD moving back to the 1.6200 area. AUD moved steadily lower throughout the early parts of the sessions before finding USD weakness and rebounding back to the starting levels. USDJPY moved up steadily during Asia however throughout the London session it remained in a very tight range of about 5 tics before the USD weakness kicked in moving it down 15tics and then staying in a 10 tic range into the close.

Another day in paradise with Tokyo and a few Asian countries out for Golden week, ranges were tight across the board with nothing special showing up. Euros traded down from the close but with a 23 tic range on the wide 1.3159/36 about covers it. GBP a similar story to the Euro, 26tics 1.6201/1.6175 on the wide however, in a southerly direction. AUD declined steadily over the session moving back to the 1.0300 area with a brief test below on continuing suggestions of further rate cuts in the near future. USDJPY was dead in the water, 80.10/19 covers it.
