US tariffs bite, markets eye ADP and Beige Book

President Trump expressed challenges in negotiating trade with China’s President Xi, while EU-U.S. trade talks progressed positively, and Japan scheduled discussions in Washington from June 5-8, amid new 50% U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum.
