Latest industry news

Bitcoin has softened notably as the new week gets going. The pullback appears driven by waning enthusiasm over looming Fed interest‑rate cuts, prompted by a recent run of hotter than expected PPI data.

Ethereum has also retraced aggressively. Nevertheless, the price action here is viewed as nothing more than short-term profit taking and an overdue correction following an impressive period of notable outperformance.

Outside crypto, markets are shoring up their focus on upcoming commentary from the Fed chair at the Jackson Hole Symposium. Fed reserve timelines and geopolitical developments are shaping flows across equities, FX, and crypto.

The U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve initiative is also adding political weight to crypto’s narrative, though short-term pricing is clearly digesting macro and risk-on dynamics.

Looking ahead, the sector is navigating a delicate juncture—spurred by regulatory signals and institutional adoption, yet vulnerable to rate-decision outcomes and policy shifts.

Bitcoin remains a foundational anchor in the asset class, while Ethereum’s volatility continues to reflect the interplay between investor sentiment and on-chain leverage.
